Shastri Sweet

You can find us right at Shastri Circle, which is a place almost everyone in town passes through at some point. Our shop is just a simple place where we sell sweets and some salty snacks like samosas. We have been here for a good number of years and the building is starting to show its age a bit. The paint is peeling in some corners, but the kitchen in the back is where all the real work happens. We use big iron pots to fry everything and the smell usually drifts out into the circle. It is a good spot because families come here in the evening to let their kids run around the circle, and then they stop by for a treat. We don't have any fancy marketing or anything like that. Most people just know us because we have always been here. We sell a lot of kachoris in the morning to people on their way to work. The counter is usually piled high with newspaper-wrapped snacks. It can get a bit hectic when ten people are all trying to order at once and the phone is ringing. We just try to get everyone what they want as fast as we can. We are not a big chain or anything, just a local family trying to keep the shop running. We close up once the trays are empty, which is usually late.
