Shah Fakir Chand Shobha Lal Pagaria

Shah Fakir Chand Shobha Lal Pagaria is our shop name and we are located in Dhanmandi at Pansario Ki Ole 43. It is a very old and narrow street, and the shop has been in our family for several generations now. We deal in the kind of traditional goods that people in this part of the city have always used. The space is quite small and it is usually filled up with bags and boxes from the floor to the ceiling. You can smell all the different items as soon as you turn into the lane. It is a bit cramped inside, but we have lived our lives here so we know where every single thing is kept. We do not have any fancy displays or modern shelves. Most of our stock stays in jute bags or the same old containers we have used for years. When a customer walks in, they tell us what they need and we weigh it out right there on the scales. The ceiling fan makes a lot of clicking noise but it is necessary in the heat. We see the same faces every week and many of them are the grandchildren of people who used to buy from my grandfather. We keep everything simple and use pen and paper for all our bills. It might be slower than a computer but it works for us. The street is always full of noise and people.
