Sandhya Brothers

Sandhya Brothers is a small operation run by us along the NH-8 in Sukher. Being on the highway means we get a lot of dust and noise, but it’s the best place to be for this kind of work. We handle stone slabs mostly. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s no corporate hierarchy or anything like that. We just do whatever needs to be done. If a truck arrives, we all go out to unload it. If the floor needs sweeping, one of us grabs a broom. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy showroom. Everything we have is out in the open for anyone to see. The work is physically demanding and your back usually hurts by the end of the week. We spend a lot of time talking to truck drivers and making sure the paperwork for the stone is correct. Sometimes we sit outside on old chairs and just watch the traffic go by while we wait for the next customer. We don't promise anything we can't do. We just sell the stone we have and try to be fair about it. It’s a simple way to make a living. We’ve been here for a while and we know most of the other guys working along this stretch of the road. It feels like a little community of stone yards and small workshops.
