Our business is located in Sukher at Shri Marble Nagar. We are right across the road from Lake City Marbles. It's a competitive area with a lot of stone being moved around every hour. We handle both imports and exports here. This means we deal with a lot of containers and heavy machinery. The yard at Shri Marble Nagar stays quite busy most of the time. We have a small office where we handle the bills and the shipping documents. It isn't a fancy place with leather chairs. It's mostly just a workspace with some samples on the floor. We spend a lot of time checking the slabs for cracks or uneven thickness. Shipping stone across the ocean or even just across the country is a lot of work. You have to pack it just right or it will break. We've had our share of accidents over the years, but that's how you learn. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do a decent job and keep the business running. Most of our customers come to us through word of mouth. They know we are across from Lake City and they just stop in to see what is new. We work hard and the days are long, but seeing a truck fully loaded and ready to go is a good feeling. We just keep at it.
