Samiksha Marbles

Samiksha Marbles is at 109 Sukher, right on the Nh-8. We are situated directly opposite Kamal Gangsaw. If you stand in our yard, you can hear their saws running all day long. It is a constant hum that you eventually stop noticing after a few weeks. We have been at this spot for several years now. Being at number 109 is a good location because the big trucks can pull in easily from the highway. We spend most of our time organizing the slabs. It is like a giant puzzle that never ends. You move one piece to get to another, and then you have to move them all back again. It keeps us on our toes. The sun beats down on the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, so we usually take a break around then and sit in the shade with some cold water. We don't have a big office, just a small cabin where we keep the books and take a seat when the legs get tired. Most of the people who come by are local contractors or families looking for something for their new house. We show them what we’ve got and they pick what they like. It is a straightforward process. No bells and whistles. We just focus on the marble and making sure the piles are steady so they don't tip over. It is just a normal day-to-day grind here in the Sukher area.
