Sameer Marbles

Sameer Marbles is located over at 48, Bhuwana, right near the Lodha Petrol Pump. It’s a decent spot because it’s a bit easier to get to than the middle of the heavy industrial traffic sometimes. We’ve got a yard full of different marble slabs. Mostly, we just spend the day answering questions from folks who are building houses nearby. My brother and I run the place and we do most of the heavy lifting ourselves. It’s a lot of manual labor, checking for cracks and making sure the cuts are decent. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just open up in the morning, sweep the dust off the slabs, and wait for people to drop by. Sometimes it’s quiet, other times three trucks show up at once and it’s a total mess. That's just how the stone business goes in Udaipur. The petrol pump next door is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. We try to keep a mix of the common white marble and some of the more colorful stuff people like for floors. It's a simple setup, really. We’ve been at this location for a good bit now and the neighbors are all okay. If you need to see some stone, you just walk in and look around the piles. We’re usually around to help move things so you can see the whole piece and decide for yourself.
