Samar Marble & Granite

You can find us on the Sukher Bedla Link Road, which is a bit of a busy spot with all the stone moving back and forth. Samar Marble & Granite is mostly just a yard where we store and sell different types of slabs. We handle both marble and granite, so there is always a lot of variety sitting around. The link road can get quite congested with trucks, but that’s just part of being in this industry. Our days start early, usually before the sun gets too high, so we can get some of the heavy lifting done while it’s still cool. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning. It’s just us out here in the dust and the heat. We spend a lot of time checking the edges of the granite slabs to make sure they haven't been damaged during transport. It’s a simple way to earn a living. We know the stones well and can tell you where a particular piece came from or why it has certain veins in it. People from the city come out this way looking for good materials, and we just point them to the stacks. We’ve been doing this for years, and we don't plan on changing much. It’s just a local business on a dusty road where we work hard and try to get things done right. Every slab is different, and that's what makes it interesting.
