Sai Marbles

We’ve been here in Sukher for a while now, right near Amar Jyoti Granites on N.H. 8. It’s a busy stretch of road and there is always stone dust in the air. We spend most of our mornings just moving slabs around and showing people what we have in the yard. It is hard work on the back, but that is just how the marble business goes. Sometimes people come in knowing exactly what they want and other times they just walk around the rows of stone for an hour. We don’t have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just us and the stones. The sun gets really hot out here on the highway during the afternoons, so we usually take a bit of a break when it’s at its peak. We try to keep the place organized so we can find things when someone asks, but with so many blocks and pieces coming in and out, it gets messy fast. You can find us easily because we are right on the main highway. We don’t do much advertising; people mostly just see the sign while they are driving toward the city. It’s a straightforward life here. We deal with the truckers, the loaders, and the local builders who need stuff for their projects. It’s loud because of the cutting saws nearby, but you get used to the noise after a few days. We've got a lot of different textures and colors, and we just leave them out so you can see them in the natural light before you decide on anything.
