Sahadev Marble

Sahadev Marble is located right at the Bye Pass Chouraha in Bhuwana, on N. H. 8. It's a spot where a lot of traffic passes through. We see everything from here. The shop isn't much to look at, just a place where we keep the stock and wait for customers. Being at the crossroads means we get a lot of random people stopping by to ask directions or check prices. We don't mind. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually sit in the shade near the back. We've got different types of stone sitting out, mostly local stuff. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving pieces around so people can see the patterns. My brother and I run the daily operations. We don't use computers much, mostly just notebooks and memory. The highway noise is constant, you sort of stop hearing it after a few months. Bhuwana has changed a lot since we started, more buildings and more people. We just keep doing what we know. It's not a complicated life. We wake up, open the gates, and see what the day brings. Sometimes we have a lot of work, sometimes we just clean up the yard. We don't have any big secrets to our success. It is just about being here when people need a few slabs for their home or a project. We like the rhythm of it and the folks we meet.
