Royal Marble

Royal Marble is located at 73 Sukher on the NH 8. If you have ever driven through Udaipur, you know the dust is just part of the landscape. It gets everywhere in the yard. We spend most of our mornings just washing down the marble slabs so people can actually see the patterns and colors underneath the grime. It is a lot of physical work, honestly. My father started this business years ago when there were fewer shops around this part of the highway. Now it is just one yard after another. We mostly deal with the local white marble because that is what most people want for their houses around here. The yard isn't huge, but we pack it tight with as much stock as we can fit. Sometimes the crane gets stuck or acting up, and it takes an hour just to move one single block out of the way. That is just how the day goes sometimes. The highway is always loud with trucks honking at all hours of the day and night. We get used to the noise after a while. Most days we are just here from 9 am until the sun goes down. If a customer shows up, we walk them around the stacks and show them what we have. There is no fancy office or air conditioning here. Just a small desk and some old chairs under a tin shed. It is honest work and we don't try to make it sound like anything more than it is.
