Rajdeep Marble

Our yard at Rajdeep Marble has been sitting on University Road for a long time. Specifically, we are at 17, Anand Nagar. If you know the area, it is quite a busy stretch of road. We deal mostly in marble slabs and cut pieces. It is heavy work and honestly, it gets quite loud around here when the cutting machines are running. We have a few guys who help with the loading and unloading because you can’t really move these stones alone. I spend most of my time at the small desk near the entrance. The floor is usually covered in a thin layer of white dust from the marble, no matter how much we sweep it. That’s just how it goes with this kind of material. We aren't doing anything flashy here. People come in, look at the blocks, and we tell them what we have in stock at the moment. Sometimes the supply is a bit slow, but we manage. My father started this and now I mostly look after things. We know most of the people around Anand Nagar by now. It’s a good spot to be. We don't really have a big website or a sales team. It's just us at the yard, making sure the stone is cut right and the measurements are what they should be. It is honest work, even if it is a bit messy and tiring by the end of the day.
