Prithvi Tiles & Marble

Down in H-106 Sukher Udyog Vihar, things stay pretty busy from Monday to Saturday. This part of the industrial area is always moving. We handle a lot of tiles and marble slabs here, mostly moving them around with the forklift or by hand when we have to. It's not a quiet place because there is always some machine running or a truck backing into the plot. We spend most of our time out in the yard. The sun can be tough, but we are used to it by now. We started this place because we knew the stone business was the heart of this town. You won't find any slick salespeople here in suits. We usually have dust on our clothes and mud on our boots. That is just the nature of working with tiles. Sometimes the stock gets a bit mixed up when we get a big shipment in, so we spend the afternoon sorting through sizes and patterns. People come by looking for something specific for their floors, and we just show them what we have on the racks. It is a straightforward way to make a living. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing fancy things. Most of the work is physical. We just want to get the orders loaded so the drivers can get on their way before dark. It’s just how things go here in Udyog Vihar.
