Our business is situated on NH-8 in the Premgarh area of Amberi. This part of Udaipur is well known for marble, so we fit right in with the surroundings. Sarla Marbles is a place where we mostly handle white marble and other local varieties. The highway is always humming with vehicles, which brings a lot of noise and grit into the yard. We spend our days sorting through slabs and talking to transporters. The marble comes in from the mines in big blocks, and we have to manage the processing part. It’s a lot of physical labor, and everyone here usually goes home covered in a layer of white dust. We don’t have a fancy website or a big corporate office. It’s just us, the stone, and the machines. We’ve been at this spot in Amberi for a long time. The weather can be really dry, and the sun reflects off the white stone so much that you have to wear sunglasses just to walk around the yard. We mostly deal with people who know exactly what they are looking for. There isn't much room for small talk when you are trying to move several tons of rock. We just try to keep the stacks organized so we can find what a customer needs without moving everything else. It’s a simple setup, but it works for what we do every day.
