Prakher Marble

Out here in Sukher on the Nh-8, there are so many marble yards it can be hard to tell them apart sometimes. Prakher Marble is just one of those spots along the highway where we spend our days surrounded by stone. It’s a dusty job, and there is no point in trying to keep the office perfectly clean because the wind just blows everything back in. We’ve been at this location for a while now. Most of the time, we are just waiting for the next truck to arrive or helping someone pick out pieces for their flooring. It’s not glamorous work. You spend a lot of time standing around in the heat, talking to drivers and workers. The highway is always noisy with the sound of horns and engines, but you eventually stop noticing it. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just have our yard and the slabs we’ve collected. If you come by, you’ll probably see us drinking tea near the entrance while we figure out the day’s plan. The stone business is tough because everything is so heavy and hard to move. You have to be careful with the machinery. We just try to be honest about what we have in stock. If the quality isn't right, we say so. It’s just a regular local business trying to make a living in the marble hub of the region. We have been doing this for many years now.
