Patel Marmo & Granites (P) Ltd.

Our place is over in Amberi, right along N. H. 8 where all the action is. We handle both marble and granite, so our yard is a mix of different colors and textures. Granite is a bit tougher to work with sometimes, but we’ve got the hang of it after all these years. The location is good because the highway is right there for the transport trucks. It gets quite loud with the engines and the horns, but that’s just the sound of the area. We spend a lot of time moving slabs around with the crane to make room for new arrivals. It’s a lot of manual labor and you have to be careful with your feet and hands. We don’t have a flashy storefront. It is mostly just the stone and a small place to sit and talk. We see people from all over who are looking for something specific for their house or a building project. We just walk out into the yard with them and look at the slabs together. Sometimes it takes a long time to find the right one, but we don't mind. The dust is a constant companion out here in Amberi. We just wash it off at the end of the day and come back to do it all again the next morning. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy.
