Pankaj Marble & Granites

Pankaj Marble & Granites is based right in Sukher. If you know the area, you know it’s the heart of the stone trade around here. We’ve got a mix of things in our yard, both marble and granite. It’s a lot to manage sometimes because they handle differently and people want different things for their floors or counters. We usually have a couple of guys working the cutters or helping load the flatbeds. It’s a loud place most of the time, between the saws and the traffic from the road nearby. We don't really have a big corporate setup. It’s just us and the stone. We spend our days checking the grain and making sure the slabs aren't cracked before they head out. Some people come from quite far away just to pick out a specific block. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of our neighbors. It’s a tight community in Sukher. We don't promise anything fancy, just the stone that we have sitting in the lot. Sometimes the supply is great, other times it’s hard to find exactly what someone wants, but we do what we can. The sun can be brutal in the summer, so we do most of the heavy lifting in the mornings. It’s a basic business, no frills, just honest work with our hands and the machines. We keep things moving and try to stay out of the heat when the afternoon hits.
