Pancholi Marbles

Pancholi Marbles is located on Sukher Nh-8, right near Kunal Enterprises. If you know that area, you know it's full of stone yards and workshops. We are one of them. Our day starts by checking what came in on the trucks overnight. The sun gets quite bright on the highway, reflecting off all the white and grey slabs we have sitting out. It’s a practical place. We don't have air conditioning or plush carpets. We have heavy lifting equipment and plenty of water to spray down the stones. Being near Kunal Enterprises means there is always someone moving something nearby. You hear the cranes and the trucks constantly. We mostly just keep to our work, organizing the marble stacks and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a lot of walking back and forth across the yard. The dirt under our boots is mostly ground-up stone. Sometimes people stop by just because they saw a piece of marble they liked while driving past on the Nh-8. We show them around, move a few pieces with the hoist if they want to see a specific slab from the middle of the pile. It’s physical work and it can be tiring when it’s hot, but that is the nature of the business in Sukher. We are just a local shop trying to get through the daily tasks and manage our inventory of stone.
