Padharo Sa Namkeen Misthan Bhandar

Our shop, Padharo Sa Namkeen Misthan Bhandar, is tucked away in Hiran Magri Sector-3. It is a quiet enough area compared to the main city markets, but we stay busy with the local families around here. We make a lot of different namkeen and sweets every day. It is a lot of work getting the spices right and making sure the frying is done properly so things are not too oily. People usually stop by on their way home from work to pick up something for tea time. We keep the counters filled with whatever is fresh that morning. Sometimes the shop smells like cardamom and other times it is the savory scent of the snacks. We are not a big chain or anything, just a local spot that people know. The shelves might look a bit crowded because we try to fit everything in. We spend most of our day in the back area preparing the next batch of sweets. It is a routine that has not changed much over the years. We see the same faces every week, and we know what most of them like without them asking. Sometimes we try a new recipe if someone suggests it, but mostly we stick to the basics. Dealing with the heat from the kitchen can be tough in the summer, but it is part of the job. We just keep things moving and try to keep the place tidy for whoever walks in next.
