Om Marble Industries

Om Marble Industries is based at Nh No 8 in Sukher. If you know this area, you know it is the heart of the marble business. There are so many of us here, but we just keep to our own yard and do our work. The machines are usually running most of the day, so there is a constant sound of cutting and polishing going on. It is a very industrial feel, not a place for someone who doesn't like a bit of noise and dirt. We handle large blocks of stone that come in on big trailers. We don't have a polished sales team or a fancy brochure to give out. If you come by, we just walk you through the slabs we have polished recently. It’s a lot of physical labor, and we spend most of our time in our work clothes rather than suits. The sun can be quite harsh on the highway, so we try to get the heavy loading done early in the morning or later in the evening. We have been in Sukher for quite some time and have seen how the industry has changed, but we still do things the old way for the most part. We don't make big promises or use complicated terms. We just show what is available and let the stone speak for itself. It’s just how we do things in this yard.
