It is quite a place here at Amberi N. H. No. 8. Dealing with heavy stones all day long is what we do at Arihant Tiles & Marbles Pvt Ltd. The highway noise is something you eventually stop hearing after a few weeks. We start early when the air is still a bit cool. The tiles are stacked high in the back of the lot. Sometimes the old forklift needs a bit of a push to get going on the uneven ground. We see a lot of different people coming through. Some are looking for marble for a small bathroom and others want enough for a whole building project. Arihant Tiles & Marbles Pvt Ltd is just a bunch of us working in the yard. We keep the inventory mostly organized, but things get moved around a lot. Amberi N. H. No. 8 is a good spot for people to pull over while they are traveling. The sun hits the white stones and it can be quite bright on the eyes. We usually have tea under the small shade near the entrance. You learn a lot about stone after a few years here. We don't have much of a lobby or anything like that. Just the slabs and the samples. It's mostly about getting the right pieces loaded up without any cracks. The stone comes in big blocks sometimes. It takes time to get everything sorted. We've been at this for a bit. We just focus on the stone that is right in front of us.
