Nayan General Store

If you walk down Alok School Road in Hiran Magri Sector - 11, you’ll find us at number 244. Nayan General Store is the kind of place where you can find almost any small thing you forgot to buy at the big market. Because we are so close to the school, we get a huge rush of kids in the afternoons. They all want chips, chocolates, or a new pen because they lost theirs during class. It gets pretty loud for about an hour, and then it goes back to being a quiet neighborhood street. I spend the rest of my time stocking the shelves with stuff like washing powder, tea leaves, and cooking oil. My family helps out sometimes when it gets busy. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know the local gossip and who likes which brand of flour. The shop is a bit cramped because I try to fit as much as possible into the space we have. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road for a minute while we unload crates, but the neighbors are used to it by now. It’s just a basic store that serves the people living around Sector-11. I don’t have a website or anything like that. People just walk in when they need something, and I’m usually there behind the counter waiting. It’s a good, simple life on Alok School Road.
