Navrang Marbles & Granites

We are set up at 41-B in the Ambamata Scheme. Navrang Marbles & Granites has been here for a good while. The space is mostly filled with granite blocks and different kinds of marble stacked up. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when we get a new shipment in from the quarries. We spend a lot of our day outside in the yard because that’s where all the material is kept. It gets hot during the afternoon, but the work doesn't stop just because of the sun. People come by looking for specific colors or patterns for their floors or counters. We show them what we have on hand. There isn't a fancy showroom here with bright lights and music; it's just the stone sitting out where you can see it for what it is. We have a small desk inside where we do the billing and take phone calls from suppliers. The Ambamata Scheme area is pretty familiar to everyone around here. It’s a practical location for what we do. Sometimes we have to move things around with the crane to get to a piece at the bottom of the pile. It takes time and effort to get it right. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big talk. We just know our stones and we know how to move them. It’s a local operation, and we like keeping it simple for everyone. There is usually some noise from the cutting or the loading, but that's just a normal day.
