Nav Durga Marble

Nav Durga Marble is over in Bhuwana, right on the Bhuwana Road near the bypass chouraha. That intersection is always crowded with people and vehicles, so it can be a bit of a challenge getting the big trucks into our yard sometimes. We have a lot of different pieces of marble sitting around. Some are huge slabs and others are smaller bits. We spend a lot of our time just organizing. If you don't keep a marble yard organized, you lose track of what you actually have. The chouraha is a busy place, so there’s always something to look at while we’re working. We aren't into the corporate style of doing business. We just talk to people like normal neighbors. When someone comes in looking for stone for their floor or their stairs, we just walk around the yard with them. It’s dusty and loud because of the bypass traffic, but we’re used to it by now. We see the same faces often, drivers and contractors who have been working in Bhuwana for years. We keep our overhead low and just focus on the stone. There’s no mission statement here, just a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the customers get what they need for their houses. It gets really hot in the middle of the day, so we usually take a break then and get back to moving stone once it cools down a bit.
