National Book Centre

You can find National Book Centre at Shop No.10 in the Loha Bazar area. We are tucked away in Chamanpura, specifically inside the Hathipole section. It is a very old and busy part of the city. The market is always full of life, with people buying all sorts of metal goods and hardware nearby. Being in Loha Bazar means there is always a lot of clanging and shouting outside, but inside the shop, it is mostly just the sound of pages turning. The space is a bit tight because we have so many books squeezed into Shop No.10. We have to be careful how we stack things so nothing tips over. We have been operating out of this spot for years. It is a bit of a maze getting through Hathipole sometimes, especially if you aren't used to the narrow streets. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who have lived and worked in Chamanpura for a long time. The shop doesn't look like those modern stores in the malls. It is a bit worn around the edges, with wooden shelves that have seen better days. But it works for us. We know our way around the bazar and we like the people who shop here. It is a practical place for people who need books without any fuss. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, year after year.
