Metro Marble & Granites

Metro Marble & Granites is right on Sukher Nh-8, basically across from the Bank of Baroda. If you know the area, you know it’s the main hub for stone around here. We spend our time moving slabs around and talking to contractors who stop by. It’s noisy because of the traffic and the machines, but you get used to it. We keep a good variety of marble and granite pieces in the yard. Some of the stuff comes from local quarries and some from further away. It’s heavy work, so there is always a crane or a loader going. My uncle started this place because he knew everyone in the trade. Now, we just keep it going day by day. We aren't trying to be the biggest place on the road, just a reliable one. When people come in, we usually just show them what’s currently in stock. The colors change depending on what we can get our hands on that week. It's a lot of walking around in the sun showing people different patterns in the granite. We keep a small office for the paperwork, but mostly we are outside. It gets pretty dusty, especially when the wind picks up off the highway. If you're coming from the city, keep an eye out for the bank and you’ll find us right there. We stay pretty late most evenings making sure the orders are ready for the morning trucks. It is just basic, honest work we do.
