You can find Mayur Arts at 1, Moti Magri Scheme. We are quite close to the lake, so the air is a bit cooler here than in the center of the city. Our building is an old one, and we use most of the ground floor for showing the artwork and the back rooms for the actual work. We have people who come in to paint miniatures and work on stone carvings. There’s always the sound of a small hammer or the smell of linseed oil hanging around. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. People usually find us because they were walking around the Moti Magri area and saw our door open. We keep some old chairs out front where we sit when the work is slow. The lighting inside isn't the best, so we often take pieces out to the doorway to see the true colors in the sunlight. It’s a bit of a mess with brushes, paints, and half-finished sketches scattered on the benches. We like it that way because it shows we are actually making things. We’ve been here for years, and not much has changed about the way we do things. It is just a quiet spot for art and craft, and we are happy to keep it that way.
