We are set up right on N.H 8 in the Sukher area of Udaipur. If you know Udaipur, you know Sukher is where all the stone work happens. It’s a noisy place with the sound of saws cutting through granite all day long. We have been here at Madhusudan Granites for a good while. The dust is everywhere, it’s just part of the job when you work with stone. We spend a lot of time out in the yard looking at slabs and making sure they are what they should be. The traffic on the national highway is always rushing past, but inside the gate, we are focused on the blocks and the cutting process. It is heavy work and you have to be careful with the machinery. We aren't trying to be anything other than a granite yard. The guys working the cranes and the cutters know their business. We don't use much fancy talk here. We just deal with the stone and the customers who come by. Udaipur is famous for this kind of work, and we are just one of the many shops along the road. Most of our day is spent coordinating with the loaders and checking the finish on the granite pieces. It’s honest work that leaves you tired at the end of the day. We keep things simple and just try to keep the yard organized amidst all the heavy slabs.
