Sam Exports

Our office is up on the 6th floor of Manglam Fun Square. It’s right on Durga Nursery Road, so there is always something going on downstairs. Being on the 6th floor means we spend a fair amount of time waiting for the lift, but the view of the street from the window is okay. The office number is 637, right down the hall. We moved in here because it’s a central spot for getting things done. Most of the time, the space is filled with samples and packing materials. It’s not particularly quiet here, as you can hear the muffled sounds from the mall and the traffic from the road below. We handle various exports, which basically means a lot of coordination and checking lists. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise, but we’ve gotten used to it. We keep our files organized in metal cupboards along the wall. Most days involve a lot of typing and calling people to see where a shipment is. We aren't a huge team, just a few of us sitting around desks, drinking tea and trying to keep everything moving. It’s a bit of a climb if the power goes out, but luckily that doesn’t happen too often. We like being in this part of Udaipur. It’s convenient for meetings and grabbing a quick lunch. Usually, we pack up when the sun starts to go down over the city.
