Kunteshwar General Store

Kunteshwar General Store sits right on Badgaon Main Road. If you are driving by, you probably won't miss it because of all the activity outside. Being on the main road means there is always a lot of dust and noise from the cars and bikes. We spend a lot of time wiping down the jars and packages so they stay clean for the customers. The shop is a bit old-fashioned. We still use an old notebook to keep track of a few things. It works for us so we don't see a reason to change it. Badgaon Main Road is a good place for a store like Kunteshwar General Store. People stop by on their way home or while they are out running errands. We don't have a lot of space for people to hang around, but some do anyway. We don't mind a bit of talk. The shelves are mostly full, but sometimes we forget to order something and have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It happens. We aren't a big chain or a corporate business. It's just a local shop run by local people. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when things get quiet. Most of the time though, someone is coming in for something. We just keep the door open and wait to see who comes in next. It is a steady way to live.
