Kuber Marble

We’ve been here at Hawa Magri on the N.H.8 for quite a while now. If you drive past Sukher, you’ll see our yard at No. 75. It’s mostly just us and the stone. Kuber Marble isn't a fancy office with air conditioning; it's more of a dusty place where we spend our days moving heavy blocks around. People stop by when they’re building a house or just fixing up a small floor area. We show them what’s in stock. Sometimes the sunlight hits the slabs just right, and you can really see the patterns, but other days it’s just hard work in the heat. My cousin usually helps with the loading. We don’t have a big sales team. It’s just a few of us making sure the stone gets where it needs to go. Most of our neighbors know us. We keep things pretty straightforward here. You walk in, look at the marble, and we tell you what we have. There isn’t much else to it. Sometimes the trucks are late or the weather makes things messy, but that’s just how it goes in this trade. We've seen Sukher change a lot over the years, mostly with more traffic on the highway. But the marble business stays the same. It's about having the material ready when someone needs it. We don't do much talking, mostly just heavy lifting and keeping the yard organized so things don't get lost.
