Being near the bus stand in Rajsamand means we are right in the heart of the marble country. Khushmu Marble Pvt. Ltd. is situated where there is constant movement of people and vehicles. Rajsamand is famous for its white marble, and you can see it everywhere you look. Our place is no different. The yard is full of blocks and slabs waiting to be processed or shipped out. The air is almost always white with fine dust from the cutting saws nearby. We start early before the sun gets too hot, though in Rajasthan, it’s hard to escape the heat for long. We spend the day checking the quality of the blocks coming from the mines. Every piece of marble has different cracks or patterns, so we have to look closely to make sure they are okay. It’s not just about selling; it’s about managing the stock and making sure the cutters are doing their job right every day. We sit in a small office near the entrance, drinking plenty of water and talking to the drivers who bring the stones in. It’s a rough environment with all the noise and the dust, but it’s what we know. There’s no polished showroom here, just the raw stone and the reality of the marble trade in a busy town like this. We've been here for years now.
