Khicha Marbles

Khicha Marbles is over at F-135-137 in the M.I.A. part of Madri, right on Road No. 5. It’s a busy industrial area, so there’s always a lot of noise and trucks moving around near our gate. We’ve been working out of this spot for quite a while now. The yard is filled with marble slabs we’ve brought in, and they just sit there until someone picks them out. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning or soft carpets. It’s a working yard where things get a bit dirty. We spend a lot of time moving stones with the crane and making sure they don't chip. My clothes usually have stone dust on them by lunchtime. People from around Madri and even further away come to see what we have in stock. We don't do much advertising, mostly it’s just people seeing the sign or hearing about us from a neighbor. When you walk in, you’ll see us either on the phone or helping someone measure a piece of stone. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast in the small office. We just try to keep things moving and get the orders loaded on the trucks without too much trouble. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it works for us. We know our stones and where they came from. That’s about all there is to it.
