Kanku Design Studio

Kanku Design Studio is situated in Pratap Nagar at the Kalpana Business Center, rooms 21 and 22. It’s a bit of a climb if the elevator is acting up, but we don't mind. We have two units side by side, so we have a bit more space than some others, but it still feels pretty cozy. There’s usually a lot of paper around—sketches, notes, and printouts. Designing stuff takes time and a lot of back-and-forth. We aren't the type of studio that has a minimalist, empty look. Our desks are full of stuff. We like it because it shows we’re actually doing things. Pratap Nagar is a good location for the Kalpana Business Center. There are plenty of other businesses around, so it feels like a busy hub. Sometimes we stay late when a project is taking longer than we thought. We just order some food and keep going. It’s not about being fancy; it’s about getting the design right. We use our computers a lot, but we still like to draw things out by hand sometimes. It’s a mix of old and new ways of working. Being in units 21 and 22 gives us enough room to breathe and think. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever comes our way.
