Jinendra Departmental

Jinendra Departmental has been sitting here in Hiran Magri Sector 11 for a long time now. If you look for house number 229, you will find us right there on the corner. It is a busy spot but we like it that way. Mostly, we just sell the stuff people need every day. Things like bags of flour, sugar, and those little packets of biscuits the kids always want. The shelves are quite tall and sometimes it is hard to find things if you are in a rush. I try to keep it organized, but when the delivery trucks come in the morning, everything gets a bit messy for a few hours. We don't have fancy lights or anything. Just the regular tube lights and a fan that squeaks a little bit when it is hot outside. Neighbors come in mostly to chat as much as to buy things. You hear a lot of news about the street while weighing out lentils. The floor is made of that old grey stone that stays cool even in June. It is a simple place. We open up early because people need milk for their tea. Sometimes the cat from next door wanders in and hides behind the rice sacks. We just let him stay until he gets bored. It is not a big supermarket, just a local shop where we know everyone’s name and what they usually forget to buy.
