Jai Marbles

Our shop, Jai Marbles, is located in Sukher, right along N.H. 8. Sukher is a big area for this kind of work, so we’re surrounded by other stone yards all day long. We try to keep our place organized, but with so much marble coming in and out, it’s always a bit of a mess. That’s just the nature of the business really. We don't have a team of salesmen in suits. It’s usually just me or one of the guys from the back who comes out to talk to you. We know our marble, and we know which blocks are better than others. We spend most of our time out in the sun, checking the quality of the slabs that arrive from the mines. It’s heavy work, and it can be dangerous if you aren't careful with the machinery. We’ve had this spot for a long time and have seen the area change quite a bit as more shops opened up. Despite the changes, we still do things the old way, mostly by hand and with some basic machinery. We don't make big promises to people. We just show you what’s in the yard and let the stone speak for itself. It’s a noisy, busy place with the sound of trucks and saws always in the background. If you're looking for marble and you're driving through Sukher, you’ll see our sign. We're usually here from morning till late, just keeping things moving along as best we can. Sometimes we even stay late to finish a load.
