Jagdish Marble

You can find Jagdish Marble over on the Pasoond Tasol Road. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main highways. We’ve got a decent-sized lot here where we keep all our stock. It isn't a fancy place with air conditioning or anything. We just have the stone and the tools we need to move it. Most of our time is spent checking the quality of the slabs as they arrive. If they look good, we put them out where people can see them. We get a lot of locals coming in from Pasoond and the surrounding villages. They usually know what they want, so we just help them find the right match. It is a lot of heavy lifting and moving things with the crane. We try to keep the place somewhat tidy, but it's a stone yard, so there is always a bit of a mess. That's just the way it is. We don't put on any acts here. If you want stone, you come look at what’s in the yard. We tell you the price and that’s that. The sun can be brutal in the afternoons, so we usually take a break then. We’ve been at this for a while and we know the stones pretty well by now. It’s a simple life, just running the yard and talking to customers who need something for their building projects. We aren't doing anything complicated, just selling stone.
