Itco Chem (India) Pvt. Ltd. is situated at 49 in the Pukhraj Layout. This is over in Adugodi, just off the main Bannerghatta Road. Getting here can be a bit of a struggle because the traffic in this part of Bangalore is always a mess. We are tucked away in the 1st Main, 1st Cross area. It’s a mix of houses and small businesses around us. We handle chemicals here, so there is always a bit of a distinct smell in the air near the warehouse. We spend a lot of time checking barrels and making sure the labels are right. It is a lot of physical work moving things around. The office is just a small corner where we keep the computers and the bills. We have been at this location for some years now and we know the layout of the streets pretty well. Sometimes we have to wait a long time for the trucks to navigate the narrow turns to reach our gate. It is just part of the daily routine for us. We drink a lot of coffee and try to keep up with the orders that come through the phone. There isn't much to see here, just a working chemical company doing its daily business. We keep to ourselves and just focus on the inventory we have to manage. Most evenings we are just finishing up the logs before heading out into the traffic. That is pretty much how things go. We just keep our heads down and do the job.
