International Marbles

We’ve been here at NH-8 Bedla for a good while now, right across from the government nursery. It’s a busy spot with all the trucks going by, and the dust from the road just kind of becomes part of the day. Working with marble is heavy work, and honestly, our yard is usually a bit of a mess because there’s always something coming in or going out. My hands are usually covered in stone dust by noon, but that’s just how it is when you’re moving slabs around all day. We try to keep the pieces organized by where they came from, but sometimes things get a bit jumbled up when we're busy. People stop by because they see us from the highway, often just looking for a specific color or size for a small project at home. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just us, some heavy lifting equipment, and a lot of stone sitting out in the sun. The weather here can be pretty rough on the workers, especially in the summer months when the sun hits the white marble and makes everything bright. Sometimes we just sit under the shade for a bit and talk about the next load coming in. It’s not a glamorous job, but we know the stone and we know how to move it without breaking anything too often. Every piece is different, which keeps it interesting for us, even after all these years of looking at the same slabs.
