Himmat General Store

Himmat General Store is right in the middle of Hathipole. If you know the area, you know it stays crowded almost all the time. We have been here for a good while, serving the people who live nearby. Our store is full of everything from snacks to household items. It is a small space, so we have to use every inch of the walls for shelving. Sometimes things are stacked up pretty high. We do not have any big corporate rules here. It is just us running the shop the way we always have. Hathipole is a lively place to work. There are always vendors and people walking by our front door. We keep the shop open late because that is when a lot of people finish their work and need to pick things up. It is a bit dusty and noisy, but that is just how life is in this part of town. We do not have a big staff, just a couple of us helping out. We know which milk the regulars like and who needs a specific brand of soap. It is very personal that way. We do not use any fancy systems to track things; we mostly just keep it all in our heads or on a notepad. It is an honest way to make a living. People stop by to chat as much as they do to buy things. That is why we like being here.
