You can find us at D-3 in the Sukher Udyog Vihar area, right off NH-8. Being in an industrial zone means there is always a lot of activity and noise from the neighboring units. We’ve been operating here for some time, focusing on different types of tiles. It’s a bit of a maze back here with all the warehouses and small factories, but we like the location. The work at Hi Decor Tiles is mostly about keeping the production line moving and checking that the patterns are coming out okay. It is a lot of routine. We arrive in the morning, check the machines, and start the day's run. We have a small office space, but most of us are usually out on the floor where the real work happens. It gets quite hot under the tin roof during the summer months, so we keep the fans going as much as we can. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the tiles we send out are decent and that the people working here are treated fair. If a machine breaks down, we fix it ourselves or call the mechanic from down the street. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make tiles and try to keep the workspace organized, which is harder than it sounds with all the dust and pieces of ceramic everywhere.
