Heena Marbles

You can find us right on National Highway 8 in the Bhuwana area. We are tucked away just behind the Lodha petrol pump. It’s a good spot because the highway makes it easy for the big trucks to pull in and out without too much trouble. Most days start early here, usually before the sun gets too hot. We spend a lot of time walking around the yard, looking at the different blocks and slabs we have sitting out. The dust from the stone gets on everything, your clothes, the chairs in the small office, even the tea cups. That is just part of living and working in this part of the country. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or making things look polished. The marble is what matters. Some pieces have nice patterns and others are just plain, and we try to keep a decent variety so there is something for different kinds of projects. When a customer comes by, we just walk them through the rows of stone. We talk about the thickness and where the stone came from. It is honest work, mostly involving heavy lifting and standing on our feet all day. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit muddy, but we keep going. We have been in Bhuwana for a good bit now and the neighbors at the petrol pump are friendly. It is just a regular day-to-day operation here on the highway.
