Gulab Ji Kassamji & Brothers

Our place, Gulab Ji Kassamji & Brothers, is located right at Hathipole Circle. We occupy spots 128 and 129. If you know Udaipur, you know Hathipole is one of the busiest spots you can find. There’s always something happening right outside our doors. Cars, rickshaws, and tourists are everywhere. It’s a family-run thing, and we’ve been here for generations. The building itself is old and has a lot of character, though it can be a bit of a pain to maintain sometimes. We have a lot of stuff packed into these two units. It’s not always the most organized, but we know where everything is. People come to us because they know the name and they know we’ve been here forever. We don't spend money on fancy ads. Word of mouth is how most people find us. We open the doors early because the circle gets busy fast. Sometimes it feels like the whole city passes by our front door. We spend a lot of time talking to customers and just managing the daily flow of things. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time. We're too busy with the day-to-day. The circle is always a mess of traffic, but it’s our home. It’s a lot of work keeping a family business going in such a busy area. We take pride in just being here every day, rain or shine. It’s a local landmark in its own small way.
