Gmnc Granites Private Limited is located right on the N.H. 8 in Bhuwana, Udaipur. Being on the highway means we get a lot of noise from the passing trucks all day and night. It’s a convenient spot though, because it makes getting the granite out much easier than if we were tucked away in the city. Udaipur is known for its stone, and we are just one part of that big industry. Our yard isn't the biggest, but we keep a decent variety of slabs leaning against the racks. Usually, it’s just a couple of us in the office handling the paperwork while the workers are out there sorting the sizes. The sun hits the white stone and it can be quite blinding in the afternoon. We usually start pretty early before the heat gets too intense. Most of our days are spent talking to contractors or just checking the finish on the latest batch of granite. We don't do much fancy advertising, most people just see our sign from the highway and pull over. It’s a straightforward way to run things. We’ve got a small area where we keep the samples, and that’s usually where we spend our time talking to people who want to see what’s available. It’s a lot of hard work, but we like being part of the local scene here in Udaipur and keeping things moving throughout the week.
