Shakundeep Stone International

We set up Shakundeep Stone International over in Govindam New Fatehpura. It’s a nice area, a bit quieter than some of the industrial zones. We deal with all sorts of stone here. Usually, it's just a couple of us managing the orders and making sure the yard stays organized. It gets a bit messy when we have a big shipment coming in, but that’s normal in this trade. We’ve been in New Fatehpura for some years now. Neighbors know us as the stone people. It’s a practical business, really. You get the stone, you cut it, you sell it. We don't try to be something we aren't. Our office is small and mostly filled with samples and some old paperwork. Most of the day is spent outside or in the warehouse part. The weather affects us a lot, especially when it rains, because moving heavy stone on wet ground is no joke. People come from different parts of town to see what we have in Govindam. We like the interaction. It’s nice to hear about people’s building projects. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. If you call, you’re likely talking to one of us who just stepped away from a slab. It's honest work and keeps us busy. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing every single day. That's the way we've always done things here.
