Laxmi Green Marble

Laxmi Green Marble is situated right on N H-8. We are pretty close to the Amberi Nursery in Sukher, which is a busy spot. If you drive past, you’ll see the slabs leaning against each other. The green marble has a specific look and we spend all day sorting through the different shades. Some days it is very bright and others it's more of a dark forest color. Being near the nursery means there’s some greenery around, but inside our gates, it’s all stone. The noise from the highway never really stops. We get a lot of dust from the road, so we are always spraying down the marble to show the real color to anyone who walks in. It’s just a few of us here. We handle the loading ourselves usually. The Sukher area is famous for this stuff, so there are many yards nearby, but we just stick to our corner. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning. It’s mostly just the outdoor space and a small shed for paperwork. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break under the shade. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving those heavy pieces without chipping them. We use the cranes for the big blocks, but the smaller slabs take a lot of hand work. The sun gets hot on the stone by midday. We just stay focused on the tasks and get things loaded up.
