Dugar Marbles & Granites

You can find us at Shree Niketan, 380 Ashok Nagar. The sign says Dugar Marbles & Granites. It’s a busy place with people coming in to look at different slabs for their homes. We have marble and granite pieces leaning against the walls in the yard. Ashok Nagar is a lively part of town, so there is always noise from the street. We spend time showing people the different patterns and colors in the stone. No two pieces are exactly the same, which is what makes it interesting. It’s heavy work, moving these things around for people to see. We use a lot of water to keep the dust down when we’re cutting or polishing. Shree Niketan is the name of the building we are in at 380. It’s got a bit of a worn look to it, but it serves us well. We’ve been here at Dugar Marbles & Granites for quite a while. We know the regular contractors who come by. We usually have some scraps of stone lying around that the neighborhood kids sometimes play with. It’s just a normal business day for us, starting early and finishing when the light goes. We talk about the weather and the traffic while we wait for the next customer. It’s a solid way to make a living. We just keep the yard organized and the stones ready.
