Dharam Dev Marbles

Dharam Dev Marbles is located right on the Sukher Main Road, along the Nh-8. If you’ve ever driven through this part of Udaipur, you know it’s the heart of the marble trade. Our yard is usually filled with rows of slabs leaning against each other. It’s a lot of grey and white out there. We spend most of our mornings checking the inventory and seeing what needs to be moved. The sun can be quite brutal on the main road, especially in the summer months. There’s no fancy air conditioning out in the yard, just the open air and the sound of the highway. We’ve been here for years, watching the traffic grow and the road get wider. It’s a family-run kind of thing, nothing too formal. We don't wear suits or have big meetings. Usually, we are just in our work clothes, dealing with customers who pull over because they saw something they liked. Sometimes people are looking for a specific grain or color, and we have to go hunting through the stacks to find it. It can be a slow process, but that is just how stone works. You can't rush it. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and grit, but it’s what we know. We aren't looking to be the biggest, just to keep the yard running and provide for our families. Stone is in our blood.
