Deewan Granites

You can find us right on Chetak Main Road, not too far from the N.H Hospital. It’s a convenient spot for people to pull in and look at the granite we have out front. We keep a lot of the heavier slabs leaning against the walls so they’re easy to see. Dealing with granite is heavy work, so we’re always moving things around with the crane or by hand when we have to. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, which makes the stone look different than it does in the morning. We spend a lot of time talking to builders and homeowners who just want something that lasts. There’s no big sales pitch here; we just show what’s available in the current stock. Sometimes the road gets really busy with people going to the hospital, so it can be a bit noisy. We’ve been at this location for a good bit now and have seen the neighborhood change a little. Most people know us by the sign out front or just by seeing the piles of stone as they drive past. We try to keep the yard swept, but with all the stone dust, it’s a constant battle. We just sell what we have and try to be straightforward about the price. It’s just us running the place, keeping track of what’s coming in and what’s going out to the sites without making a big deal of it.
