Dave General Store

Dave General Store is sitting right on RMV Road in the Choti Brahampuri area. It’s a small shop, number 42, but we pack a lot of things inside. You can find almost anything for the house here, from soap and shampoo to bags of lentils and spices. I spend most of my day behind the counter talking to the neighbors who stop by for their daily milk or some bread. The shelves are always a bit crowded because we try to keep everything people ask for. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road for a minute while they drop off crates, which can be a bit of a headache. We’ve lived in this neighborhood for a long time, so we know most of the faces that come through the door. It’s a simple life, opening up early in the morning and closing once the street gets quiet at night. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It's just a place where you can grab what you forgot to buy at the big market. The kids from the nearby school often come in for snacks or a cold drink during their break. We just keep things running the way they always have. There isn’t much to tell other than we are here every day except for some holidays. It’s a local spot where people come to get their supplies and maybe chat for a minute before heading home.
