Charak Misthan

You will find Charak Misthan at the Malla Talai Chouraha, specifically at 337. Being at a chouraha, or a crossroad, means we are right at the intersection where everyone has to pass through. It is a very busy spot in Malla Talai. We mostly sell snacks and sweets to people who are on their way to work or heading home. The shop is usually dusty because of all the traffic outside, so we are constantly wiping down the counters and the glass. We start our work before the sun comes up to get the first batch of food ready for the morning commuters. It is a lot of standing around and waiting for the next rush of people. The area has changed a lot since we first opened, with more buildings and more noise now. We do not have any fancy signs or big advertisements; we just have our name on the front and the food in the window. Most people who stop by are in a hurry, so we have to be quick. On rainy days, the chouraha gets a bit messy, but people still stop in for a hot snack to stay dry for a minute. It is just a regular part of the neighborhood where you can grab something quick. We are not trying to be the biggest shop in town, just a reliable one for the local crowd that passes by every single day.
